Business Systems Analyst

Job Description:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will analyze business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and support growth for portfolio companies and clients. This remote, part-time or full-time role offers the flexibility to work with global teams, enabling you to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and other teams to ensure systems align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for development and implementation teams.
  • Design and propose solutions to optimize workflows, systems, and processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement and test system changes or integrations.
  • Monitor and evaluate system performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, user stories, and system specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role (open to less experienced candidates with strong potential).
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address business challenges.
    • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SWOT analysis, process mapping, Agile).
    • Familiarity with system integration concepts and tools (e.g., APIs, ETL processes).
    • Knowledge of database systems and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI).
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile Analysis Certification) are a plus but not required.

70,000–110,000 USD per year (pro-rated for part-time roles, adjusted for location and experience).
