Job Description:
As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure that portfolio companies and clients adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This remote, full-time role (with flexibility for part-time arrangements) offers the opportunity to work with global teams, enabling you to develop, implement, and enforce compliance programs that mitigate risks and promote ethical business practices. You will play a key role in maintaining the organization’s integrity and reputation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce compliance programs and policies.
- Monitor and assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance in all business operations.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role (open to less experienced candidates with strong potential).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of compliance laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and audits effectively.
- Strong communication and training skills to educate employees on compliance matters.
- Familiarity with compliance management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) are a plus but not required.
