Market Expansion Manager

Lead global expansion strategies, identify growth opportunities, and oversee new market entries.

As a Market Expansion Manager, you will play a critical role in scaling the international presence of portfolio companies and clients. Your primary focus will be identifying, planning, and executing market entry strategies to expand their operations into new regions, including Australia, the UK, and Canada. You will work closely with company leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure successful market entry and sustainable growth, aligning with their long-term business goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify high-potential regions for portfolio companies and clients to expand into.
  • Develop and implement tailored market entry strategies, considering local economies, regulations, and consumer behavior.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to align expansion strategies with their business goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local partners, vendors, and stakeholders to support market entry efforts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies as needed.
  • Work with internal Product and Marketing teams to localize offerings and campaigns for target markets.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize expansion efforts.
  • Represent portfolio companies and clients at international trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in market expansion, international business development, or a related role, preferably in e-commerce, SaaS, or private equity.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of successfully scaling businesses into new markets.
    • Strong understanding of global market dynamics, cultural nuances, and regulatory environments.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
    • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
