Scrum Master

Facilitate Agile processes to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

Job Description:

As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate Agile processes and support cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results for portfolio companies and clients. This remote, part-time or full-time role offers the flexibility to work with global teams, enabling you to foster collaboration, remove impediments, and promote continuous improvement. You will act as a servant leader, ensuring Agile principles are followed and teams are empowered to achieve their goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Remove impediments and resolve conflicts to ensure teams can focus on delivering value.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor team progress and metrics, providing insights to improve performance and delivery.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within teams.
  • Act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Support the adoption of Agile practices across the organization, promoting a mindset of adaptability and innovation.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in a related role (open to less experienced candidates with strong potential).
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
    • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or Rally).
    • Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to coach and mentor teams to improve performance and collaboration.
    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with software development processes and cross-functional team dynamics.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Agilist) are a plus but not required.

70,000–110,000 USD per year (pro-rated for part-time roles, adjusted for location and experience).
