Job Description:
As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate Agile processes and support cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results for portfolio companies and clients. This remote, part-time or full-time role offers the flexibility to work with global teams, enabling you to foster collaboration, remove impediments, and promote continuous improvement. You will act as a servant leader, ensuring Agile principles are followed and teams are empowered to achieve their goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Remove impediments and resolve conflicts to ensure teams can focus on delivering value.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor team progress and metrics, providing insights to improve performance and delivery.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within teams.
- Act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Support the adoption of Agile practices across the organization, promoting a mindset of adaptability and innovation.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in a related role (open to less experienced candidates with strong potential).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or Rally).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams to improve performance and collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with software development processes and cross-functional team dynamics.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Agilist) are a plus but not required.
